DUBAI POLO GOLD CUP 2014
Following its success in the Silver Cup, the Ghantoot Polo Team won another trophy - this time the Dubai Polo Gold Cup 2014, one of the top events in the UAE sporting calendar, with a level of 16-goals.
A great tournament, the Dubai Polo Gold Cup Final took place at Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club last Friday, March 7th, bringing together 10 teams, including new team such as the UAE Polo Team (Patron; HH Sheika Maitha Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum), the Edrees Polo Team (Patron: Sultan Edrees) and 2 teams from the Desert Palm Resort (Patrons: Tariq Al Bwardy & Rashid Al Bwardy. Rashid Al Bwardy is, of course, known for his UK-based Dubai Polo Team, which has won the Queens Cup at Guards Polo Club in Windsor, U.K., more than once).
Players from Argentina, Uruguay, France and U.K. were involved, including, Martin Jr Aguerre, Pelon Sterling, (winner of the Triple Crown in Argentina with the La Dolfina team), Pierre-Henri N'Goumou from l'Equipe de France, Max Charlton, and many more.
At the same time I would like to thank:
